Muni Toons

We were commissioned by the SFMOMA to make a soapbox derby car for an artist derby in McClaren Park in San Francisco. Partnering with artist Crystal Vielula and photographer Janet Delaney, we wanted to make San Francisco’s most fun bus ride, complete with icons, scrolling signs, bubbles as exhaust, and of course feet instead of wheels.

It later featured in the Art of Tinkering exhibition at the Exploratorium, went down Lombard Street, and was eventually received by SF MUNI for special events.
